Meet your Social Worker

Ms. Marroquin

Social Worker

Welcome!

My name is Marina Marroquin and I've been working in the South San Antonio School District for the past three years. I currently support four campuses: Shepard Middle School, Five Palms Elementary, Armstrong Elementary, and Madla Elementary. My role is to provide therapeutic support for students who may need additional services beyond what a school counselor can offer. Students may be referred for a variety of concerns, including self-esteem, symptoms of anxiety or depression, grief, life transitions, peer or family relationships, and more. If you believe your child may benefit from therapy services, please reach out directly to your student’s school counselor. All therapeutic services are free of charge and are provided during the school day at your child’s campus. Also, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if your family is in need of community resources such as food assistance, clothing, or school supplies. I’m always happy to help connect families with support.

Fun Facts:

  • I love the San Antonio Spurs!
  • I have a miniature dachshund named Dolly Parker
  • I'm a proud TAMUCC Islander and UTSA Roadrunner
  • I've lived in 4 states (military brat)
  • Big Bend National Park is my favorite place to visit
